Parent Accounts for SchoolFusion/Edulink
This year parents have a new single user ID and password that will access both SchoolFusion and Edulink.  This single account will access all children in a family, even in multiple Prince William County schools.  Parents will be able to create their accounts using a special Passcode they can pick up in the Counseling Department.  If a parent cannot pick up a passcode, you may submit this form to the Counseling Department via fax or mail.  For directions how to create this account once you have your passcode, click here.
Job Fair at SJHS
Please be advised: We have canceled the Thursday, March 25, 2010 Job Fair at Stonewall High because of the conflict with the Service Awards.  We have rescheduled the date for Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Stonewall High from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
SeaPerch
The Prince William County Public Schools 3rd Annual SeaPerch Event is looking for volunteers!  Help is needed for the SeaPearch competition on Friday, March 26th at Freedom Aquatic Center.  Stonewall Jackson High School has 86 students competing in all 7 events so we need your help!  Click here to access the online volunteer registration or contact Kevin Surber (surberpk@pwcs.edu) or Andrea Bechberger (bechbeal@pwcs.edu) for more information.
Teacher of the Month

Special Education Workshop
The PWCS’ Office of Special Education Parent Resource Center will host a workshop for parents of students with disabilities entitled “Transitioning Students with I.E.P.s to Middle School”. This session will be held on Monday, March 22, 2010, from 7-9 p.m., in Conference Room 1101 of the Kelly Leadership Center located at 14715 Bristow Road in Manassas.   To pre-register or for further information, see the brochure (in Spanish) or call 703.791.8846.
Change in Flex Schedule
Stonewall Jackson has a built in FLEX period that meets every other day that is typically reserved for remediation and/or enrichment activities. Due to the significant loss of instructional time, we will alter our FLEX guidelines to allow for the introduction of new material during this time. This will begin starting the week of February 22nd until the end of the school year on June 18th to ensure that we are able to teach the entire curriculum prior to end-of-course assessments and final exams.  Click here to read the parent letter.
Class of 2010 Graduation
Stonewall Jackson's Graduation for the class of 2010 is June 15th at Jiffy Lube Live (formerly Nissan Pavilion) at 7 pm.
Sophomore Interview Day
All 10th grade students will be interviewing with community Business members on April 29th and 30th during the school day.  It is required to complete a resume prior to these interviews.  Click here for a possible resume template.  (You will need to right-click and 'Save As' to keep and modify this document.)
Business Department Student of the Month
The Business Student of the Month for February is Josh Fleming.  Josh's track record in the Business Department is quite impressive because he is taking Advanced Computer Information Systems, Multimedia/Desktop Publishing, Business Law, Business Management and Advanced Programming.  Not only does he complete his work on time (or before it's due), earns top grades, and often helps other students in class...he often goes "the extra mile" to explore more "in depth" software programs in his programming class.  Recently, Josh participated in the FBLA competition by submitting a banking program which tied together his abilities in all his classes.  To say that the business teachers are proud of him is an understatement.  We applaud you, Josh, and congratulations!

Manassas Mall School Sense
Manassas Mall is pleased to offer its School Sense incentive program for a second year to help local schools earn free computers, a/v tools, sporting equipment, and more. Parents and teachers can turn in purchase receipts from any Manassas Mall store (excluding J.C. Penney, Macy's, and Target) to the mall management office to earn points for the school of their choice. Participating schools can then "shop" from a catalog of supplies with their cumulative school points. Since last year, our School Division as a whole has accumulated more than 255,000 points.
